Joint Meeting with the Washington Aero Club
The Wings Club held its first cooperative meeting with The Aero Club of Washington, DC at a luncheon at The Capital Hilton Hotel on Thursday, April 30, featuring the Honorable Raymond LaHood, Secretary, U.S. Department of Transportation as the guest speaker. Wings Club President, Dave Barger, paid tribute to the rich history of the Washington Aero Club on the occasion of their 100th Year Anniversary and recognized others who had contributed significantly to Aviation in the past 100 years. They included Lt. Colonel (ret) Walter McCreary, pilot, former POW and member of the famed Tuskegee airmen..
